Security Site Supervisor - Aviation - Terrace

We are looking for an energetic and motivatedSecurity Site Supervisorfor a high-profile corporate office site in Terrace, BC. Maintaining the daily operation of the site schedule and effectively leading, supervising and mentoring a team.
Job Information:
Schedule: Afternoons/Evenings/Weekends
Site Location: YXT Airport, Terrace
Pay Rate: $27.75-$29.00/hr
Key Responsibilities
SupervisionLeadership
- Manage and supervise site security officers, ensuring compliance with company policies, client requirements, and security standards.
- Train, mentor, and coach officers on site duties, reporting procedures, protocols, and professional conduct.
- Review service levels with the Customer Service Manager, addressing coaching, recognition, or disciplinary needs.
- Participate in service review meetings with internal management and clients, leading initiatives to resolve concerns.
Security OperationsPatrol
- Conduct regular walk-throughs, inspections, and checkpoint patrols of designated areas.
- Monitor access control points and ensure compliance with terminal security procedures.
- Respond to incidents and emergencies promptly, following established protocols.
- Coordinate and liaise with police, emergency personnel, or client staff as required.
- Detect and deter unauthorized persons through a consistent visual security presence.
- Identify and report safety hazards, security breaches, and other irregularities.
- Maintain consistent notes, logs, and shift activity reports using company-issued tools.
SafetyCompliance
- Conduct fire and safety audits, maintaining records and incident reports.
- Participate in Occupational HealthSafety meetings and fire drills.
- Take part in key audits, including the annual client key cabinet review.
- Perform regularly scheduled site duties in accordance with client standard operating procedures.
- Adhere to Securiguard's core values, vision, and mission statement.
Qualifications
- Valid BC Security Worker License -
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in security in a shift lead or supervisory role.
- Occupational First Aid II or III with AED is an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lead, plan, organize, and problem-solve effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- High level of performance, commitment, and motivation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and make sound decisions.
- Excellent computer skills; intermediate level required.
- Physically fit and able to respond quickly to a variety of incidents on foot.
- Positive, professional, and enthusiastic attitude.
- Full-time availability with flexibility.
