About the role

Position Information:

Current RN Certificate of Competence from College of Nurses of Ontario

BScN required or actively pursuing
Greater than 5 years active experience in Emergency nursing required

Current ACLS, BCLS,CTAS,eCTAS certification,NVCI required
Proficient in all aspects of ED nursing including competence and certification in (or actively pursuing) preferred

  • PALS/ENPC
  • TNCC/ATLS
  • NRP

Experience with adult education with capability to be a resource to staff required
Excellent critical thinking/ effective problem solving skills required.

Superior leadership/communication skills with capacity to build strong teams and sustain positive team spirit required
Excellent conflict resolution skills required
Lean methodology process knowledge/ certification preferred

Candidate must demonstrate the following qualities:
Professional attitude and be a professional role model

Manage and support change to foster an environment which promotes personal accountability

Commitment to ongoing professional development through inservice, membership on CQI teams, staff meetings and self -motivated learning

Commitment to service excellence and quality patient care.

A new 178 bed capacity, full-service community hospital opened on August 26, 2011. We provide primary care to a population of 55,000 people and offer specialized care to nearly 110,000 within the County of Oxford.
