What is the Opportunity?
This is a unique opportunity to work directly with the Director of Wealth Management Canada Operations, supporting a wide range of strategic and operational priorities. In this highly visible role, you will act as a trusted delegate on key initiatives, ensuring execution of operational and business strategies, while strengthening operational resilience, fostering employee engagement, and enhancing collaboration across teams. With visibility across senior leadership, you will play a pivotal role in positioning Operations to meet evolving business goals, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. The role calls for adaptability, strong business acumen, and the agility to navigate shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
What will you do?
- Partner with the Director to deliver on strategic operations priorities and provide leadership presence in enterprise forums and initiatives.
- Lead and support cross-functional initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, risk mitigation, and client experience across WMCO.
- Coordinate and deliver employee engagement activities and other team-focused initiatives that foster open communication and alignment.
- Support operational resilience by contributing to business continuity planning, issue escalation, and risk monitoring.
- Act as a liaison between Operations teams, business partners, senior leaders, stakeholders, ensuring consistent communication and follow-through.
- Provide analysis, reporting, and ad hoc problem-solving to support decision-making and address operational challenges.
- Mentor and coach managers and employees to strengthen team capabilities and foster collaboration.
Must-have:
- 5+ years of experience in securities, banking, wealth management operations, or technology,
- Ideally 3+ years of demonstrated project management, leadership, or stakeholder coordination experience.
- Strong knowledge of operations, risk management, and vendor oversight practices.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and deliver under pressure.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and influencing skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven analytical, problem-solving, and change management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
