Your new role

Reporting to the Area Manager - Mining, the Senior Project Engineer – Mine will be responsible for integrating and driving the key technical deliverables required to transition the Windfall Project to successful execution, ensuring that all aspects of the underground mine are systematically planned, de-risked, and prepared for construction.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Oversee engineering deliverables across all project phases (feasibility to execution).
  • Develop and maintain the detailed, integrated schedule for the pre-production phase.
  • Serve as the designated Package Owner for key mining systems, responsible for driving detailed engineering, managing technical interfaces, and supporting the procurement and construction execution.
  • Provide progress reports and insightful analysis to support informed decision-making.
  • Monitor cost, progress, and schedule reports; implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Foster collaboration and ensure effective communication of project risks to stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in underground mining, including mine planning, project engineering, and capital project management.
  • Proven experience in the development and execution of large-scale mining projects.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis and reporting for performance evaluation.
  • Excellent communication, risk management, and analytical skills.
  • Fluency in both French and English is required.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
