About the position: The Jordan’s Principle Administrative Assistant will assist and support the Jordan’s Principle Coordinator and Team, by developing and applying appropriate technical and administrative processes and skills. The JP program assists families and children with coordinating treatment and care plans for clients, acting as an advocate for families and work with caregivers, mobilize resources and assist with application processes and procedures.

Duties:

  • Assisting families with completing Jordan’s Principle applications;
  • Processing payments to families;
  • Tracking Jordan’s Principle applications and their current statuses;
  • Scheduling appointments;
  • Contacting families, vendors or professionals;
  • To collect, organize and maintain records and invoices on file for audit;
  • Answering phone, take messages, transfer call, and/or respond to

emails as needed;

  • Producing and organizing hard copy information and reports;

  • Recording Data;

  • Maintaining complete familiarity with software programs and command structures to input Varity of information;

  • Organize transportation, accommodations and meals when requested by the Supervisor;

  • Attend meetings

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 (One) Year Certificate in Administration or Office Education (combination of education and experience may be considered);
  • Experience & knowledge with computers and office equipment;
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams;
  • Excellent Verbal & Written Communication Skills;
  • Knowledge of the Woodland Cree Culture and ability to Speak

and/or understand Cree is an asset;

  • Certified First Aide & CPR is an asset;
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
