We are seeking qualified individuals for the role of Fixed Plant Advisor – Concentrator Maintenance. Please note that this is not a fly-in, fly-out position and will be based in Labrador West, NL. This position will be on a 7/on 7/off, days shift rotation. Relocation assistance and Temporary accommodations are provided where necessary.
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive and promote a safety culture ensuring compliance with all safety policies.
- Actively participate in Asset Management process.
- Create work requests for found work during inspections.
- Assist maintenance supervisors with unplanned work. Create work orders, source and track rush order parts.
- Confirm materials/parts for upcoming planned work.
- Assist with sourcing missing materials/parts for planned work.
- Assist supervisors with coordination of special equipment (vac truck, scaffold, aerial work platform etc.).
- Help coordinate external suppliers for onsite work.
- Enter employee payroll time. Manage overtime call outs and overtime lunches.
- Assist supervisors with RMO (repair maintenance operation) process. Ensure parts are received and tagged in the warehouse and enter work requests.
- Have unused parts returned to warehouse or suppliers and process for credit accordingly.
- Review all outstanding work orders and process accordingly. Prioritize outstanding work orders in planning cycle or close out if completed.
- Facilitate daily dashboard meetings.
- Monitor and drive actions that support Asset Management improvement.
- Provide feedback to maintenance supervisors and planners on Master Data change requests.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent work ethic and strong organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of mechanical operations including safety, maintenance, equipment, and staff utilization.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively collaborate with others.
- Comfortable with a fast-paced environment.
Education & Experience:
- Interprovincial Red Seal Millwright or Welder will be an asset.
- Experience with mine processing background may be considered.
License:
- Driver’s License (Required)
