What is the opportunity?

Wealth Management Strategy & Transformation is a central team within RBC Wealth Management that enables business growth, productivity and client value through strategy, analytics and transformation execution. We are the primary point of connectivity across Wealth Management Businesses and the broader RBC enterprise, translating strategic priorities into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.

As a Manager in the Wealth Management Strategy team, you will play a critical role in supporting high-impact initiatives that shape the future of RBC Wealth Management. You’ll contribute to strategic planning, business update, financial and operational analysis and the execution of strategic initiatives that enable Wealth Management business globally to contribute to RBC overall growth and profitability.

The is an opportunity to uniquely be involved in initiatives that span across the various WM businesses and functions. You will be providing support on business updates, and framing and execution of strategic initiatives that directly support implementation of the WM platform strategy both near and long term.

What will you do?

  • Provide support on strategy development and advisory support at the Wealth Management segment level and individual business line level, including research, analysis, financial modeling and preparing materials and strategic recommendations to facilitate Senior Management Team discussions.
  • Coordinate and provide inputs on strategy-related content for various enterprise requests, including but not limited to: Investor Relations requests (e.g., quarterly earnings prep), annual report, ESG report, Credit Rating Agency reviews, Award Submissions, executive prep for analyst calls or external conferences, Board updates and internal leadership presentations.
  • Relationship and stakeholder management (within team and potentially business partners) to ensure assigned project requirements are met in a timely manner (including but not limited to owning a particular workstream within the initiative and working within the team and under the guidance of the team to engage with stakeholders within the WM business, functions or operations teams.
  • Identify and develop new opportunities to deliver greater value to clients and RBC WM by staying on top of market / client trends, sharing best practices in processes and analytical frameworks, and bringing the outside in (e.g., understanding competitor strategies, looking outside our industry to discover new ideas).

What do you need to succeed?

Must haves:

  • Confident storyteller utilizing appropriate visuals and deck design to convey complex business issues and provide easily digestible updates to stakeholders
  • Experience in preparing executive level updates and presentation
  • Experience with business cases, investments, benefits/value, OKR tracking, and the ability to translate data into insights that supports problem analysis and identification of recommendations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate a wide variety of complex information in both oral and written format at all levels of an organization.
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills to obtain results through partnerships, impact and influence, being comfortable to deal with uncertainty and maintaining an open-flexible mindset.
  • Excellent prioritization and coordination skills, combined with the ability to work to multiple deadlines under pressure.
  • Wealth Management / Banking work experience.
