Open house student guides/greeters welcoming prospective students and their parents to SHHS residences. Show guests around the McConnell and La Citadelle buildings, common rooms, amenities, and their rooms. Explain benefits of living in McGill Residences and share their experiences. Manage crowds and select groups to follow them on their tours. Represent SHHS as they give guests a glimpse of living in residences.

Position Summary:
Able to explain the benefits of living in McGill Residences by sharing their experiences.
Guides and greeters must be able to represent SHHS as they give guests a glimpse of what it's like living in residences.
Tour guides must be able to guide parents and students on a tour of the building/common rooms/and their bedroom. Bedroom must be a tidy and inviting space.
Greeters stationed at the lobby of the building able to welcome tour groups that arrive throughout the day; answer any inquiries they have, while waiting for their tour guides.
Knowledge of French and English. McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
Seeking 1st year student residents. Must be able to be ambassadors for SHHS in a professional matter. Able to communicate specific information on living in Residences, bringing in their own experiences. Availability for the day of October 25, 2025, and must be available for the entire time from 10h00-16h00. Must be available October 23, 2025, for 1 hour of training. Able to show potential students and their parents what SHHS has to offer.
Additional Information:
Status: if you are not a Canadian Citizen, you need to present a valid study permit and have a valid Social Insurance Number.
Start date: October 25, 2025 (1 day) + October 23, 2025 (1 hour of training)
Hours of work: 10h00-16h00
Hourly rate: $16.20 per hour

High School Diploma Minimal or No Related Experience
