Job Description

Participating in design of water and/or wastewater processes for a variety of infrastructure projects through preparation of design calculations and equipment selection and cost estimating
-
Develop and utilize design tools (e.g. InfoWater Pro, Biowin, WaterCAD, PCSWMM, etc.) to support planning and optimization projects
-
Prepare sketches, renderings, technical figures, and calculations for engineering reports and presentations as required
-
Document, track, and address design comments and drawing markups
-
Verifying compliance of drawings with appropriate standards, codes, and guidelines
-
Participate in the preparation of engineering specifications, calculations, and permit applications
-
Assist in facility inspections
-
Carry out planning or problem solving for water and wastewater systems
-
Technical report writing
-
Proposal preparation support, as required
-
Site inspection, as required
-
Carry out research assignments, as required
-
Provide technical assistance to staff, as required
Qualifications
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-
Skilled in Microsoft Suite software, Project, Bluebeam, Adobe, and Visio
-
Experience in the water or wastewater industry (asset)
-
Understanding of construction drawings
-
Technical report writing skills
-
Experience carrying out quantity and cost assessments (asset)
-
Unrestricted Driver Licence
-
Own Transportation Required
Additional Information
The salary for this position ranges from $23.75 to $29.40 per hour, depending on your academic profile, the number of credits earned, and your previous co-op or internship experience. The final offer and salary may be adjusted based on your unique profile.
