A preferred tourist destination, a great place to live and play, now is the time to consider making this amazing place your home.Capital Projects Coordinator, Parks Infrastructure Position OverviewThe Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD) is currently inviting applications for the part-time position of Capital Projects Coordinator, Parks Infrastructure to perform a range of tasks including supporting parks infrastructure, operations, project management work and activities, as well as the coordination and oversight of design, tender and construction processes, primarily within the Parks Division within the Community Services Department. Further details can be found in the job description at www.scrd.ca/careers.Compensation and BenefitsWe have what is being called one of the very best compensation and benefits packages that are out there. Immediately upon hire this position includes an additional $3.05 per hour cash-in-lieu of benefits, offers pro-rated vacation at 6%, and pro-rated sick leave. After 30 days of employment the wage rate will then expand to include an additional 5% in lieu of statutory holiday pay. The SCRD also provides for eye exams and eyewear, on a pro-rated basis, for the hours worked and offers free confidential counselling services through an Employee Family Assistance Program. The Capital Projects Coordinator, Parks Infrastructure is a bargaining unit position with a wage rate of $48.43 per hour (under review). The Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD) is the regional government serving the residents of the Sunshine Coast. Formed in 1967, the SCRD is one of 27 regional districts that were designed to establish a partnership between electoral areas and member municipalities within their boundaries. Through the electoral area and municipal partnerships, the SCRD provides services that can be regional (supplied to the whole region), inter-municipal (supplied to two or more members within the region) or local (provided to electoral areas, or within a subset of an electoral area, within the region).
