About the Opportunity:

The Ministry of SaskBuilds and the Procurement Information Technology Division is seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to join the Stakeholder Engagement unit as the Director of Stakeholder Engagement. Reporting directly to the Executive Director of the Office of the CIO (OICO), this position will be based in Regina, SK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Government of Saskatchewan IT vendor strategy, contract lifecycle management, policy, and legislation.
  • Collaborate with various leaders across government, including those in Executive roles, Service Delivery, and Architecture, to design, implement, and continuously improve IT system availability and stability.
  • Develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategies to support the OCIO, in collaboration with key internal stakeholders and executive government.
  • Provide strategic advice, guidance, and recommendations on stakeholder engagement to ministry senior management and other stakeholders on innovation technology issues, opportunities for mutually beneficial work, and policy, program, and training development and implementation.
  • Ensure internal compliance with regulatory requirements and prepare submissions and filings with regulatory bodies.
  • Lead a diverse team of highly knowledgeable, technical resources from across ministries and outside of government in delivering approved initiatives.
  • Ensure standards and comprehensive due diligence are applied to program evaluations to provide credible, reliable, and timely evaluation information for policy and IT decisions.
  • Provide detailed guidance and expertise on strategic communication (Ministry and Corporate), and prepare documents, decision items, and briefing materials for meetings and presentations to committees.
  • Lead, participate, and contribute to the ITD Strategic and Operational task plans, including preparing budget submission documents and operational task plan updates.

Qualifications:

  • Leadership skills, passion, and technical expertise.
  • Experience in strategic execution and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with procurement partners.
  • Typically, the knowledge required for this position would be obtained through a post-secondary education in Business Administration or Computer Science. Similar combinations of experience and education will also be considered.
