POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Garden Valley School Division invites applications for the part-time (.86 FTE) permanent position of Resource/Classroom Teacher at Border Valley School effectiveSeptember 8, 2026****.
Garden Valley School Division is a dynamic and thriving educational community located in the heartland of Manitoba's beautiful Pembina Valley Region. With a student population of about 4,300, the division encompasses 14 schools in the communities of Winkler, Plum Coulee, Schanzenfeld, Hochfeld, Blumenfeld, Reinland, and Blumengart.

The division offers a variety of programs in academics, fine arts, athletics, and technology, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hold or be eligible to hold a valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate
- Previous teaching experience within an early year's classroom is an asset.
- Experienced in early & middle years assessments/evaluations is an asset.
- The ability to work alongside colleagues, contribute collaboratively to the school community, and a have willingness to participate in extra-curricular activities would be an asset.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check & Child Abuse Registry Check

SCHOOL INFORMATION:
Border Valley Schoolis a K-8 school located in a rural setting, a short 20-minute drive south of the City of Winkler. The school serves several smaller communities and rural homes in the surrounding area. Border Valley has a student population of approximately 100 students, a teaching staff of 13 and a support staff of 11. The size of the school community allows staff to provide strong academic programming while building positive student relationships.
