Now, we’re looking for a Multimedia News Reporter in Yarmouth, NS who can bring energy, curiosity, and creativity to our audience every single day.

What You’ll Be Doing

Crafting engaging, hyper-local stories for our community portals Writing for radio in a voice that’s conversational, clear, and made for audio Pitching and writing daily story ideas that help shape our coverage across every platform Chasing leads across town, across platforms, and across timelines — phone, in-person, social media, email… you’ll use it all Participating in our rotational weekend on-call schedule (because news doesn’t take days off)

What We’re Looking For

Strong interviewing, writing, and editing skills for both digital and broadcast Solid understanding of the CP Style Guide A self-starter who thrives under pressure and can meet tight deadlines — including breaking news outside the 9‑to‑5 A Journalism or Digital Media diploma — or equivalent experience that proves you know your stuff Experience with newsroom software (Burli is a bonus!) A valid driver’s license (the news won’t always come to you!)
