About the role
Position Summary:
The Laundry Attendant is responsible to ensure that standards of cleanliness are achieved and maintained on a consistent basis to provide the highest level of Resident satisfaction, within established time limitations. The Laundry Attendant will perform labelling, sorting, washing, drying and folding of clothing items and will maintain the laundry facility as required. The Laundry Attendant should demonstrate constant awareness of safety hazards and report to the Director of Environmental Services for maintaining safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Must be physically fit and in general good health with the ability to push, pull and lift a minimum of 25 lbs and be able to be on your feet for long periods of time
- Effective written and oral communication skills in the English language
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
- Clear criminal record security clearance with Vulnerable Sector included (no more than 6 months old)
- Appropriately dressed
- Must be able to work independently, and as part of the interdisciplinary team
