Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Inside Sales Representative will gain hands-on experience in all manufacturing departments in Mississauga, as well as in customer service, quality, finance, and sales, to develop a solid understanding of each function. Performs lead generation and customer prospecting. This role is designed to prepare the successful candidate for an Account Executive position within 18 months to 3 years.
The training will include active participation in manufacturing operations, learning about our network and capabilities, and supporting sales through activities such as prospecting, market research, project coordination, report preparation, and system utilization.
Upon completion of the program, the candidate will be assigned to a sales territory. The role requires flexibility and willingness to relocate within the region to meet business needs.
Required Education/Experience:
- College or University Degree, or equivalent.
- Relevant diploma or certification in Sales, Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of sales experience, preferably within heavy manufacturing industry.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and French, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Team-oriented, with strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal abilities.
- Valid driver’s license, mobility flexibility, and willingness to travel as required.
- Technical knowledge of value-add processes, fabrication, painting, and anodizing (asset).
- Experience in sales account management and building strong customer relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Power BI.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with manufacturing and sales teams to coordinate and secure commercial opportunities; driven to learn and take initiative.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental requirements during both the role and training period.
- Acquire and maintain a strong understanding of company processes, including order entry, manufacturing, quality, downstream operations, shipping, markets, and administrative procedures.
- Collaborate with the Account Executive and manufacturing teams; supporting customer service and profitability goals.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, contributing to standard work practices that eliminate waste and enhance team productivity.
- Support sales activities through prospecting, lead generation, market research, project coordination, reporting, and system use.
- Maintain accurate updates, reports, and key highlights for management as required.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and customers to coordinate and secure commercial opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
