The Maintenance Coordinator plays a vital role in planning, scheduling & coordinating all maintenance activities in the BC area, ensuring the safe and efficient operations of our assets to support construction projects.
Equipment maintenance encompasses purchasing of parts, the fabrication of equipment and accessories, along with their maintenance, repair, certification, and calibration, where applicable.
What you will do
Develop and implement maintenance strategies and schedules for construction equipment and project sites. Coordinate with external maintenance technicians and other staff to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks. Carrying out minor repairs and inspections to prepare equipment for future use.
Load unload equipment for deployment to various project locations
Track inventory of spare parts and ensure their availability for routine and emergency maintenance. Work with vendors and suppliers for the procurement of necessary tools, equipment, and parts. Purchase the parts and services needed to support the repair and maintenance of fleet equipment and operations in BC and on remote construction sites (civil and building). Estimate the time and resources required for each maintenance job. Review and understand equipment and machinery manuals to determine standard operating procedures. Inspect the workplace for potential safety hazards and implement safety protocols. Utilize maintenance management software to record, track, and analyze maintenance work. Prepare and present reports on maintenance activities and their effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
This Role Could Be For You If You Have
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, OR 5 years experience in a Maintenance discipline OR a combination of education and work experience. 5 years of equipment maintenance planning related experience, construction background an asset. Strong knowledge of maintenance processes and equipment. Proficiency in maintenance management software. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with various teams. Experience in the construction industry.
