About the Role

As ATB’s next Senior Sales Leader, Entrepreneurial Growth for the next 12 months, you will be responsible for achieving Everyday Financial Services (EFS) business results in your market by coaching and providing direction to a professional team of ATB Business Advisors. You will have direct influence over the client and team member experience as well as operations and risk management.

You will directly impact the operations and revenue of EFS by providing direction to a team of sales team members (Business Advisors) in the areas of sales, credit, leadership and operations. There is a responsibility for maintaining relationships with the Entrepreneurial Growth Leadership Team (EGT) and Branch Managers to ensure smooth continuity of the business as well as the team member and client experience. In addition to achieving EFS business results, you will ensure that risk mitigation and operational requirements are adhered to.

Accountabilities

  • Provide direction and leadership to a sales team of Business Advisors, pertaining to the enhancement of the team member experience.
  • Create a unique client experience in retaining the overall current EFS book of business, acquire new clients and deepen the existing banking relationships.
  • Actively participate in internal and external events, promoting ATB Financial by supporting initiatives that are important to the success of Albertans.
  • Plan, execute and measure by implementing sales and service strategies and initiatives to improve EFS business performance.
  • Provide leadership to sales team members through appropriate goal setting and coaching to ensure revenue, profit and growth objectives are met. Energize the team to help understand the need for results.
  • Effectively manage operational, regulatory & credit risk to ensure ATB’s risk tolerance is adhered to by ensuring credit and operational risk are appropriately managed through coaching and guidance of the sales teams, as well as personal oversight of credit decisions with support of the EGT Coaches and EGT Director.

Skills, Experience & Requirements

  • Minimum five years of related experience in a financial institution, with three of the years with sales leadership experience
  • Proven entrepreneurial mindset with a confident, tactfulness and persuasive manner
  • Demonstrated senior level collaboration, negotiation, influencing and motivational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to interact with Senior Leadership in communications and presentations
  • Broad based business knowledge and acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate attractiveness of new business opportunities
  • Strong awareness of ATB across all organizational divisions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Additional Information

  • This is a temporary 12 month opportunity
  • This role can be be located in the Red Deer, Calgary or Edmonton areas, with a preference for someone in the Red Deer area
