We are currently recruiting a Quality Assurance Technician to join our team in Gananoque.

Reporting directly to the QA Lab Supervisor, this position is responsible for the acceptance and rejection of manufactured product based on product specifications and procedures. The Quality Assurance Technician also supports testing for complaints, non-conformance investigations and changes to support production and the facility. The focus for this position is support of raw materials.

The incumbent must be able to work the following schedule: 24/5, 8-hour shifts on a weekly rotation - MAD (midnight, afternoon and day).

Key Requirements:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of quality systems and approaches.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the relevant regulations, standards and operating procedures.
  • Demonstrate ability to perform investigations / root cause analysis and develop corrective actions.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the requirements and has the ability to perform gap assessments to those requirements.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of quality concepts such as: cost of quality, analytical metrics and / or statistics, trending, quality planning, validation, CAPA and problem solving.
  • Work cross-functionally and has the ability to interpret the requirements as well as educate and influence others on those requirements.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Diploma in science-related field preferred or equivalency with 3-5 years’ experience
  • Good working knowledge of mechanical inspection techniques and equipment
  • Knowledge of statistical sampling methods
  • Strong computer skills; email, word, excel, power-point
  • Effective communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of medical device regulatory and ISO standards
  • Experience in training
