We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual who is ready to challenge themselves by applying their technical knowledge, field experience, and analytical skills in the following capacity:

Field Reliability Specialist

Project-Based (Calgary, Alberta)

What you will be doing:

  • Conduct structured walkdowns to collect asset information such as nameplate details, equipment attributes, and operating context.
  • Capture high-quality photos and organized field notes to support accurate data collection.
  • Apply temporary tags and tracking identifiers to ensure alignment between physical assets and digital records.
  • Enter collected asset and component data into CB’s structured Excel templates and digital tools.
  • Assist with formatting and preparing field data for client CMMS/EAM integration.
  • Support daily quality checks to verify completeness of required attributes and photo documentation.
  • Identify critical components such as motors, bearings, gearboxes, and other mechanical parts to support downstream BOM creation.
  • Track missing or incomplete details for follow-up by Engineering Specialists.
  • Maintain structured logs of collected and validated data.
  • Support communications with OEMs and distributors to confirm technical specifications, availability, and outstanding information.
  • Maintain follow-up logs and ensure timely closure of vendor inquiries.
  • Cross-check vendor responses with field data for accuracy and alignment.
  • Identify missing or inconsistent asset details that may affect reliability planning.
  • Record relevant field observations to support preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to confirm proper hierarchy placement and data accuracy.
  • Maintain organized daily progress updates and photo archives.
  • Upload verified field data to cloud platforms using established naming conventions.
  • Assist project leadership with weekly status reports and documentation packages.

What you will bring to your team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering-related field (preferred).
  • Familiarity with MRO environments, asset management practices, or maintenance programs.
  • Understanding of industrial components such as bearings, motors, filters, gearboxes, and related mechanical parts.
  • Strong documentation and data-entry skills using spreadsheets and structured templates.
  • Comfortable with digital tools for fieldwork and data capture (e.g., MyStuff2 Pro, Excel, photo capture tools).
  • Experience coordinating with vendors to verify technical specifications.
  • Analytical skills to identify data inconsistencies or missing attributes.
  • Experience in inventory planning, stock analysis, storeroom operations, or materials handling (asset).
