About the role

A leading industrial organization is seeking a Procurement Manager to support sourcing, supplier management, and procurement execution across multiple operational sites. This role partners closely with category leadership and key stakeholders to implement procurement strategies, optimize supplier performance, and drive value through effective sourcing and contract management. The ideal candidate brings strong procurement experience, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Procurement Strategy & Execution Implement procurement strategies in partnership with category leadership to support business objectives. Translate sourcing and category plans into actionable procurement initiatives. Manage the operational and tactical procurement of goods and services to meet cost, quality, and service expectations. Oversee contract implementation and ensure compliance with internal standards and policies.

Supplier Management & Strategic Sourcing

Lead supplier sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and onboarding activities. Monitor supplier performance and drive accountability through ongoing performance reviews and improvement initiatives. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to support long-term business objectives. Identify opportunities to optimize sourcing strategies, reduce costs, and improve supplier performance.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Partner with internal teams to understand business requirements and align procurement activities with organizational priorities. Support cross-functional initiatives and ensure sourcing decisions support operational goals. Communicate procurement plans, risks, and opportunities effectively to stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement & Compliance

Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, controls, and reporting. Support the development and implementation of procurement best practices. Analyze spend and supplier data to drive informed decision-making and cost savings. Promote compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, category management, or supply chain operations. Strong understanding of strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement processes. Proven ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams. Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business systems.

Preferred Background

Experience within manufacturing, industrial, construction, or other asset-intensive environments. Exposure to procurement performance metrics, strategic sourcing initiatives, and continuous improvement programs. Travel: Approximately 20-30% as needed.
