About the role
Transdev Canada is hiring a ful-time Dispatcher & Scheduler for our Kamloops location.
As a Dispatcher & Scheduler, you will receive emergency and non-emergency calls and manage the daily operations of a fleet of drivers, coordinating routes and pickups for buses and other transit vehicles. You will also act as a liaison between drivers and customers.
Your Role:
- Answer incoming calls and provide accurate information to customers regarding schedules, routes, and services.
- Dispatch drivers and vehicles efficiently to meet customer demand.
- Monitor and coordinate real-time vehicle locations and communicate with drivers to ensure on-time performance.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain accurate records of all communications and dispatch activities.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize dispatch operations and improve service delivery.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Your Profile:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a call-taking, dispatch, or customer service role is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and dispatch software.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- Knowledge of Victoria's geography and public transportation system is an asset.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
Location:
- This is an full-time and on-site position, at our Kamloops location.
- Schedule details are 5 days on/2 days off, 10 hours per day.
- There is a requirement to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
