The Role

The purpose of this role is to accelerate growth in North America by closing new sales in markets with high potential. The New Sales Representative will focus on acquiring new clients, expanding Seequent’s customer base, and converting new business opportunities across key segments including Mining, Energy, Civil, and Environment.
This is a results-driven role that requires identifying and engaging high potential prospects, understanding their business challenges, and positioning Seequent’s world class software solutions widely regarded by customers as best in breed in geological and geophysical data visualisation as strategic tools for transformation.
The role works in close collaboration with a Business Development Manager, Marketing, and the technical team, who will support lead generation, campaigns, demos, and trials. The New Sales Representative plays a key role in building the pipeline, driving revenue growth, and expanding Seequent’s market presence across the region
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Represent Seequent at industry events, conferences, and tradeshows to increase brand awareness and build networks that support sales.

Define, propose, and participate in the implementation of strategies to generate and convert high-quality leads within the territory.
-
Gather and analyse market information, trends, and research to support business development.
-
Conduct market research and analysis to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
-
Negotiate and closes deals with potential clients, ensuring favourable terms and conditions.
-
Build rapport and develops strong relationships with Directors, VPs, department leads, and end users.
-
Deliver high-quality, engaging presentations to prospective clients.
-
Identify and engages prospects within the territory, demonstrating a hunter mentality and commercial drive.
To be successful in this role, you should have:

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales or business development in B2B environment.
-
Excellent communications skills with natural ability to engage in conversation
-
Experience acting as the first contact for new sales opportunities by working directly with prospective customers
-
Technical Sales and experience selling software in infrastructure market would be an advantage
-
A hunter mentality: not only managing leads created by third party but also directly generate own leads.

Knowledge of how to use sales and prospection tools such as Sales Engagement, LinkedIn sales navigator would be an advantage.
Additional Information
Hybrid-based working environment, work from our Vancouver, Canada office two or more days per week. Travel to attend conferences, events, and potential client sites will be required
