Title: Country Growth & Marketing Manager II (Sr. Director Level)
Location: Burlington, ON L7T 4K1 Duration: Permanent / Direct Hire Pay rate: $225,000 - $275,000 Annually Work authorization: Citizen/GC/Work Permit Shift: 1st
Job Description
Role: Country Growth & Marketing Manager II (Sr. Director Level) Location: Burlington, ON (Hybrid – 3 days on-site) Position Type: Permanent / Direct Hire Salary Range: $225,000 - $275,000 Scale of the Business & Team Structure The Business Scale: Massive, highly stable business with retail close to $3 Billion in sales, almost 7,000 co-workers, and 15 physical retail units/stores. Direct Reports: 5 Direct Reports (each managing specific operational and creative areas). Total Downstream Team Size: 90 to 95 people in total fit under this functional umbrella. Compensation Alignment warning: Transparent about not being the absolute highest payer in the market. You must sell the amazing culture, stability, deep benefits, and immense global career growth opportunities inside the massive Internal network.
What the Role Actually Looks After: The 5 Pillars
This leader sits on the Country Management Team wearing both a functional growth hat and a total business strategy hat. Under their direct purview are these five categories: Selling: Driving the actual selling pillar, including forecasting, pricing, and building the competence development of different product range areas. Marketing: Leading the complete marketing funnel (in-store, social, and online). Business: Managing the B2B side (small and large volume ordering, commercial accounts). Home Furnishing & Retail Design: Overseeing the physical and digital visual presentation—how they design store displays, store layouts, and the web interface. Food: Managing the restaurant, bistro, and food Swedish-market operations. Global vs. Local Campaign Strategy: Both. Selwyn noted that while they may not have a physical paper catalog anymore, they take global concepts/ad assets and localize them to fit the context of the Canadian consumer. Candidates must understand how to take global directions and make them relevant locally.

Manage the country development agenda of the Retail Area, defining the roadmap for strategic and operational business opportunities for the country. Lead development in alignment with other Country Retail Areas, contribute for and Ingka’s development agenda. Leverage brand strength and home furnishing expertise to inspire & attract consumers therefore drive penetration and growth. Position as the go-to brand for home furnishing solutions, building a strong competitive advantage in the local market. Drive customer-centricity and brand loyalty by ensuring a seamless and coherent customer experience across channels. Champion omnichannel integration connected to the Retail Area, securing strong and integrated digital and service elements to enhance offer. Responsible to secure the Retail Area is working and evolving in full alignment with the totality of our business. Lead, coach, and develop leaders across all functions ,Secure interdependence, and collaboration across teams, fostering a high-performing, values-driven team culture. Enabling competent, engaged co-workers while ensuring succession planning and diversity.
