About the role
Overview:
Hexagon’s Autonomy & Positioning division is looking for a Temporary HR Administrator on a 16-month contract to join our HR team and support our global engineering and manufacturing business, where we work on cool stuff that truly matters. This role will support a broad range of HR operations and corporate activities including recruiting, learning, employee onboarding, immigration, employee records management, along with some payroll back-up support and other staffing related transactions.
The Location: Hexagon is a global company with offices around the world. This position is based in Calgary, AB.
Responsibilities:
As HR Administrator, responsibilities include:
- Function as first point of contact for general HR queries and provide administrative support on a variety of HR related services and activities
- Maintain HR databases and other employee digital and paper records while ensuring data integrity, privacy, and consistency
- Conduct new employee orientation sessions and manage onboarding / offboarding processes
- Provide administrative support for other HR functions including talent acquisition, immigration & compliance and learning & development
- Administer recognition programs
- Prepare and process confidential correspondence, documents, and general reports
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives
Qualifications:
Must-Have:
- Minimum 4 - 6 years of HR administration and/or combined general administration experience
- Proficient in HR software such as HRIS or HRMS
- Intermediate to advance working knowledge of Excel
- Some related post-secondary education

- Outstanding customer service focus
- Ability to manage confidential information with integrity and professionalism
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and excellence
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and frequent interruptions, while prioritizing workload effectively
- Positive outlook with a willingness to work out of scope
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with other HR systems such as applicant tracking and time management systems
- Experience in ADP Workforce Now would be considered and asset
