About the role

Job Title: Plumber    Job Summary    A plumber is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems and equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment. The role involves troubleshooting system issues, performing preventive maintenance, and responding to breakdowns to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate ensures all work meets safety standards and collaborates with cross-functional teams to support operations and system improvements.

  Responsibility 

  •  Install and modify piping systems, fixtures, and equipment used for water supply, drainage, steam, and compressed air

  • Assemble, fit, and connect pipes, valves, pumps, and related components using appropriate tools and techniques

  • Perform routine inspections and repairs to ensure all systems are functioning efficiently and reliably

  • Identify and diagnose issues such as leaks, corrosion, blockages, pressure fluctuations, and system inefficiencies

  • Use testing equipment and visual inspections to determine root causes of failures

  • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on plumbing systems and related equipment

  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements or replacements as needed

  • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns, ensuring quick resolution of issues impacting operations

  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with applicable plumbing codes, environmental regulations, and company policies

  • Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to support operational needs

  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment and system upgrades

  Academic/Educational Requirements 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.   
  • Certificate of qualification in a related trade, 306A Plumber

  Required Skills/Experience 

  • .  Licensed Plumber (Journeyperson)
  • 3+ years of experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Ability to read blueprints and work with industrial systems
  • Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
