Job Summary
The Research Funding Officer is responsible for providing support to faculty members in securing external funding for research projects. This includes identifying funding opportunities, assisting with proposal development, and ensuring compliance with funding agency requirements.
Main Responsibilities
- Identify and disseminate funding opportunities to faculty members.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of grant proposals.
- Provide guidance on funding agency policies and procedures.
- Maintain records of funding applications and outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance funding success.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in research administration or a related area.
- Strong understanding of funding agency requirements and processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in grant writing and proposal development.
- Familiarity with university research policies and procedures.
Additional Information
This position may require occasional travel to attend workshops and conferences.
