Role will be approximately 50% Sales/Systems Engineer and 50% operations (vendor/internal development team management) and will support global sales efforts.
What you’re great at
- Supporting a sales team of 2-3 members by designing solutions to address customer requirements using existing software/hardware building blocks as well as generating ideas for new product development
- Ability to see the whole picture, dissect and understand existing workflows, and prepare presentations and briefs to keep internal stakeholders in the loop
- Making in-person or remote presentations to effectively pitch the solutions
- Articulating the value proposition and how it fits into the customer’s needs
- Preparing RFQ, RFP, etc. responses that emphasize the advantages of the proposed solution and how it will address the customer requirements and/or benefit their business.
- Systems integration, OSI layers 2 - 7, IP Networking, IP Broadcasting and streaming
- Computer hardware installation and troubleshooting
What you’ve been up to
- Developing and using Solutions Engineering skills using IP networking and broadcasting networking equipment
- Working within the Media Technology or Solutions Integrator industry for 3+ years
What you’ll be doing
- Troubleshoot video streaming and webcast systems
- Interact with customers via support tickets, e-mail, texts and phone
- Identify and escalate urgent or recurring issues to the team
- Document resolutions so we can be better prepared to support the client
- Monitor and manage the health of clients' systems
What it’s like to work with us
- This position is based on-site at our Canadian HQ; however, remote work may be considered for the right candidate.
- Some travel to work with customers, attend trade shows, etc.
- Ideally, you’re based in either Canada (Preferably Greater Toronto Metro Area), USA (Preferably Greater New York Metro Area) or Connecticut.
