About the role
Northern Gateway Public Schools invites applications for a Part-time (0.75 FTE) Education Assistant at Onoway Jr/Sr High School Outreach Location, Onoway, Alberta.
Successful candidate responsibilities:
- Provide support to students in an inclusive setting
- Follow the direction of the classroom Teacher
Preference will be given to candidates who:
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, parents and staff
- Work collaboratively and co-operatively with teachers and other educational assistants in the classroom/school
- Understand and carry out oral and written direction
- Work independently with minimal instruction
- Demonstrate effective organizational and communication skills
- Respect confidentiality
- Practice professionalism with all OJSH School students, staff, administration, parents and public
- Are aware of NGPS policies and administrative procedures
- Have experience/willingness to work with Junior and Senior high school students, in Grades 8-12
- Have an understanding of the teaching/learning process
- Have strong interpersonal skills and patience
- Enjoys working in a team environment
- have an Educational Assistant Diploma

- August 27, 2025
Hours:
- 22.5 hours a week
