About Our Client They are a well-established civil contractor specializing in heavy civil construction, municipal infrastructure, earthworks, underground utilities, roadworks, and site development projects across Western Canada. With decades of industry experience, they have built a strong reputation for delivering complex infrastructure projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Their diverse portfolio includes transportation infrastructure, servicing, excavation, grading, and large-scale civil works for both public and private sector clients. About The Position Supervise and coordinate daily site activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules and specifications. Lead and mentor field crews, subcontractors, and equipment operators. Plan daily and weekly work activities, allocating labour, equipment, and materials to meet project targets. Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, engineers, inspectors, and clients to resolve site issues and maintain project progress. Oversee civil construction activities including earthworks, excavation, underground utilities, roadworks, grading, concrete works, and site servicing. Ensure all work complies with project drawings, engineering specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Promote and enforce company health and safety policies by conducting toolbox talks, hazard assessments, and regular site inspections. Monitor labour productivity, equipment utilization, and material requirements while maintaining accurate daily reports and project documentation. Identify and resolve construction challenges, implementing corrective actions to minimize delays and maintain project performance. Support project closeout activities by coordinating inspections, deficiency corrections, as-built documentation, and final handover requirements. This opportunity is available to candidates based in Vancouver, Burnaby, Langley, Surrey, New Westminster, Coquitlam, Chilliwack, Delta, and Richmond.
The Requirements 8+ years of experience in civil construction, with previous experience in a Civil Foreman or Lead Hand role. Proven experience supervising crews on heavy civil projects, including earthworks, excavation, underground utilities, roadworks, concrete, and site servicing. Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Project Managers, Superintendents, engineers, inspectors, and clients. Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with the ability to travel to project sites as required. Compensation & Benefits $47- $50/ hr. (DOE) Company Vehicle Fuel Card Health & Dental Benefits
