We are seeking a results‑driven Equity Derivatives and Structured Finance Professional to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide a markets‑based suite of financing and structuring solutions to Financial Sponsor, Corporate, and Retail clients across a full spectrum of integrated capabilities to deliver leading market insight, risk management, and ...
Key Responsibilities:
- Revenue generation through delivery of equity derivatives and structured finance solutions to BMOCM’s clients
- Track and analyze key sales performance and coverage activity metrics, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement. Maintain opportunity pipelines through various CRM tools
- Maintain client and internal relationships through in person interactions
- Partner with bankers, portfolio managers, legal, onboarding, credit and risk colleagues to ensure seamless client experience and compliance with all internal and external policies and procedures
- Work closely with bankers to align sales efforts with broader business strategies
- Continuously customize sales processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and client needs to guide sales strategy and decision‑making
- Create and maintain pitch and marketing materials
- Provide ongoing training, development, and support to partners across the firm and junior team members to enhance skills and capabilities
- Consider risk, internal controls and compliance as part of day‑to‑day accountabilities and adhere to policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Typically, between 5 – 7 years of relevant experience and post‑secondary degree
- Experience with marketing of derivative solutions for corporate/Private Equity clients
- Demonstrated ability of success in a sales and structuring role
- Ability to educate and explain complex products to internal stakeholders and external clients with varying backgrounds
- Proficient in CRM systems and data analysis to track and manage sales performance
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a results‑oriented mindset
- Thorough knowledge of capital markets, pricing, and sales/trading/hedging strategies for derivatives and financing products
- Understanding of counterparty risk, CVA, FVA and XVA and its implications when pricing deals
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of relevant regulatory and financial concepts
- Advanced deal execution and/or project management skills – ability to manage more than one client / major initiative
- Strong financial analysis skills
- Uses analytical skills and applies appropriate technical concepts and completes/leads consistent and reliable technical and financial reports/analyses to support client deliverables
Salary:
- VP – $150,000 CAD + bonus
- Director – $175,000 CAD + bonus
Pay Type: Salaried
