Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As the Program Manager, Store Development Operations, you will lead the development and evolution of scalable store readiness and handover programs that enable our stores to open, relocate, and evolve with clarity and consistency. Acting as a key partner within Store Development, you will operate at the intersection of development, retail operations, and cross-functional teams to ensure operational requirements are embedded early and delivered effectively across the store lifecycle.

With a systems mindset, you understand the importance of building repeatable frameworks, clear communications, and operational guardrails that reduce disruption for store teams and support sustainable business growth. Through strong cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement, you will help shape how Arc’teryx scales its physical retail experience for the future

This role is based out of our North Vancouver office. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

Meet Your Future Team:

The Store Development Team collaborates with key stakeholders and strategic partners in the development, evolution and maintenance of retail stores across North America. This position will work collaboratively with other members of the Store Development team, Store Designers, Real Estate & Facilities to build stores on time and on budget and keep our existing fleet of stores in exceptional condition for our operators and guests.

###If you were the Program Manager, Store Development Operations now here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Creating and implementing standardized store readiness and handover programs that support scalable store openings, relocations, and renovations within our retail communications systems
  • Supporting Project Manager in managing retail projects based on capacity throughout the year
  • Partnering cross functionally to align operational standards, timelines, training inputs, and readiness expectations across Design, Retail Operations, Brand, IT, and Finance
  • Developing and managing store-facing communication cadences and resource frameworks to ensure clarity for retail teams throughout the store lifecycle
  • Designing and evolving remote execution approaches and operational frameworks to improve efficiency and consistency across projects
  • Measuring program effectiveness, identifying trends, and driving continuous improvements to store readiness and handover processes

###Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:

  • Developing new processes as store designs and retail expressions evolve
  • Developing enhanced store readiness dashboards and reporting frameworks to improve visibility and decision making
  • Advancing remote enablement tools and documentation to further reduce travel and operational disruption
  • Creating scalable operational playbooks, templates, and resource standards for store lifecycle initiatives
  • Designing new practices that improve cross-functional alignment and program efficiency as the retail fleet grows

###Are you our next Program Manager, Store Development Operations?

  • You have 5+ years’ project management or operational leadership in retail.
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary education in Business, Operations, or a related field
  • You are highly organized and detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
  • You are approachable and personable, showcasing a customer-centric mindset
  • You are proficient in Smartsheet and Microsoft Suite
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization
  • You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • You can multi-task, meet deadlines, and manage priorities working in a fast-paced environment
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • You are able to balance autonomy and collaboration
  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues, seeking the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
  • Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it

$82,000 - $103,000 a year

A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$82,000 - CAD$103,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates with demonstrated expertise that is above job requirements or who bring exceptional directly transferable experience.

Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program and benefits that we offer.
