The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented part-time hire to support our Treasury team. This role will provide essential administrative and analytical assistance, enabling the team to operate more efficiently, improve scalability, and enhance overall organization. The successful candidate will gain valuable hands-on experience in corporate treasury and finance while contributing to process improvements and special initiatives.
What You Do
Cash Applications & Bank Reconciliations
- Assist with weekly cash applications, including coverage on Fridays and during team member absences.
- Support the month-end bank reconciliation process.
Process Improvement & Organization
- Draft process documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and scalability.
- Organize and clean up historical treasury and finance documents (e.g., bank statements).
Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare and/or provide back-up support for daily cash updates.
- Assist in compiling data for cash forecasting and management reporting.
Ad Hoc Projects
- Provide support for special treasury or administrative projects as needed.
What You Bring
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools; experience with financial systems is an asset.
This position requires a security clearance from the Government of Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada and must successfully obtain and maintain a Reliability security clearance. Please note that specific customer contracts may impose additional security verification requirements. Obtaining and maintaining all required security clearances is a condition of employment.
