Working in close contact with the Electro-Mechanical Lead Engineer and the Train Electrical Engineer of the project, you will have the ownership of a varied arrange of electro-mechanical equipment and harness installations. Starting from defined company and customer guidelines, the Electro-mechanical Engineer is responsible to provide 3D conceptual definition leading other designers in the successful and on time delivery of the installations you're assigned.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Produce conceptual solutions for harness and equipment installation, following the company and client design guidelines.

Perform and maintain SAM’s (Space Allocation Mock up’s) in accordance with progressive maturity rules considering all constraints
-
Track the elements required for the design.
-
Performs the design of general or partial assemblies, taking into account the manufacturing capabilities of the plant.

Prepare, conduct and pass peer Design Reviews
-
Validate proposed solutions with other departments and services involved.
-
Prepare the analysis to confirm that the technical solutions selected will meet the company and customer quality, techncial and performance requirements.

Follow-up on the preparation and transfer of design studies for the detail design of harnesses and electrical lockers by the Center of Excellence teams.

Review and sign-off the required assembly and installation drawings for the packages assigned.

Validates the quality of 2D drawinds or other documents created or modified by back office support and gives instructions for corrections when required.

Verify, during manufacturing, the conformity of parts or assemblies with drawings and their compatibility with each other and makes corrections if necessary.

Participate in the bidding process or business case for new projects or business opportunities within its area of expertise.
REQUIRED PROFILE:

Mecanical or Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent
-
3 years or more of relevant experience
-
Creation, modification or verification of electromechanical design
-
Catia V5 mechanical design experience
-
General Mechanical Principals required:
-
Welding Notation Standards
-
GD&T Principals
-
Material Compatibility
-
Sheet metal work
-
Structural Analysis (FEA)
