About the role
Shipping/Production Coordinator Summary Reporting to the General Manager, the Shipping/Production Coordinator is responsible for all products arriving complete and on time.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Maintain a positive relationship with staff using good communication skills
- Instill strong Customer Service Policies with your staff
- Follow and have your staff follow company policies
- Do written probationary and annual performance evaluations as well as periodic verbal performance evaluations throughout the year
- Handle employee complaints
- Establish vacation schedules for your staff to allow for uninterrupted workflow
- Keep Job Descriptions current
- Ensure staff use time management skills
- Encourage and be open to ideas from your staff and peers
- Monitor and control staffing levels
- Schedule daily workloads for staff to meet schedule requirements
- Monitor and ensure safety standards and take appropriate actions.
- Create and/or supply information to management when required; credit exception, restocking form, production back log
- Controls requests going into yard production
- Ensuring all paperwork going to production, the yard, and the customer is complete and accurate
- Responsible for various reports and filing
- Monthly inventory of product produced and stored in the yard (performs material count)
- Prepare delivery shipping lists for invoicing
- Providing customer assistance, requests and concerns as necessary
- Receiving product and tracking outgoing materials
- Maintains an organized and clean yard
- Ensures COD orders are paid in full before delivery
- Schedules daily work going into production in consultation with Sales and Shop Foreman; keeping in mind shop capacity and shipping schedule

- Continually look for new and better ways of servicing our customers
- Ensure that customers are satisfied with our products and service
- Represent the company in a professional manner and ensure the customer is treated with respect and courtesy
Knowledge
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Forklift experience
- Knowledge of city of Edmonton and Central/Northern Alberta
- Experience in shipping/receiving
- Understands loads and limits of equipment

All-Fab Building Components Edmonton is currently seeking a highly organized individual to join our fast-paced team as a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator. This position will work alongside our current Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to learn the duties and responsibilities that are required for the position.
Duties/Responsibilities Working in our Mitek software, the successful candidate will manage the scheduling of all sales orders to be delivered on time and all purchase orders to be picked up on time
- Maintaining Mitek, scheduling and communicating with all truck drivers, forklift operators, yard, and warehouse team members
- Managing incoming supplier delivery requests and out of town delivery requests
- Communicating with multiple departments and their teams via text, email and verbally
- Working in Bistrack software
- Managing emails and adhering to firm response times
- Monitoring and distributing workloads ensuring accurate on time shipping
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications
- High School Diploma, post-secondary education is an asset however not required
- Experience working with scheduling software is an asset
- Knowledge of wood manufacturing and building components is an asset
- Instinctual problem solver
- The ability to remain on schedule in a dynamic environment
- Ensure a positive customer service experience for all drivers and customers
- High degree of organizational skills
- Continuous Improvement mindset
- Bistrack software with Mitek experience or similar an asset
Degrees/Certificates and licenses
- Valid class 5 driver’s license
- Forklift license is an asset
