Leasing Officer
The Real Estate and Development Branch is looking for a Leasing Officer for a one (1) year temporary (term) position with the possibility of extension and/or indeterminate status. The position is classified as a RÉ-04 ($66,836 to $85,106 per annum).

JOB OVERVIEW
As the Leasing Officer, you will be a key resource in commercial and residential leasing, providing insights into industry trends and best practices for managing commercial and residential properties and leases. You will track and report on the service provider’s performance, ensuring compliance and evaluating leasing activities against key indicators. You will propose action plans to address issues, assist with communications and internal approvals, and provide project support. You will participate in creating policies and procedures related to commercial and residential properties management and leasing.
As a federally regulated employer, the NCC is subject to the Pay Equity Act. The NCC’s pay equity plan identified this job for a pay equity adjustment, which will be reviewed when the pay equity plan is updated.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in Real Estate Management, Business Administration, Marketing or a related field, or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience related to the position.
EXPERIENCE
One (1) to three (3) years of experience in a setting dealing with commercial and residential properties management, leasing or operations.
KNOWLEDGE
-
Of property management principles.
-
Of Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB) and Régie du logement procedures and guidelines.
-
Of Ontario and Québec Building codes.
ABILITIES
-
To prepare and review leasing documents.
-
To identify issues, find solutions and make recommendations.

To establish priorities and organize work to meet tight deadlines.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Possess or eligible to obtain Reliability security clearance.
- Linguistic profile: English Essential or French Essential.
- Position is in the National Capital Region. The person selected for this position must reside within a commutable distance from the workplace at 40 Elgin Street, Ottawa, Ontario.
