The Role As a Machine Bindery Operator (Large Format Finisher), you will be responsible for operating large format finishing equipment, such as flatbed laminators, roll laminators and vinyl cutter systems. This individual will have a strong background in laminating, hand finishing and quality control, who can provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.

The position works Monday to Friday on afternoon shift (2pm – 10pm) and may require flexibility for shift changes when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and understand department job ticket information
• Operate and maintain large format laminators, vinyl plotters, cutting and mounting systems
• Follow specific fabrication instructions as indicated by work orders and supervisors
• Troubleshoot and correct problems during the finishing process as they arise
• Manual trimming of various products to finished size
• Inspect finished work for quality, accuracy, count, and sizes
• Audit and package finished product for safe delivery to end user and clients
• Maintain and safely use all large format finishing tools and equipment provided for trimming, cutting and packaging
• Follow all protocols for safe working conditions in the facility, such as machinery, chemicals and materials used

Skills & Experiences

• 2+ years of print industry experience in Large Format Finishing
• Capable of regularly lifting 40lbs or more
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• General computer and math skills
• Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Able to multitask well, remain organized, and handle many projects at once
• Willingness to be a cross-functional employee that can work with multiple teams within the organization
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by Management and/or the production team
