What you'll be doing

Simplii is transforming how millions of Canadians manage their money. We’re building something different—elevating Business Analysis from projects to products, from backend specs to experiences people love, and from documenting requirements to solving real problems. We need someone who can translate customer and business needs into clear, actionable requirements that enable simple, reliable, and delightful experiences.

As the Director, Product Delivery, you will lead and mature the Business Analysis function across a broad financial products portfolio—chequing, savings, payments, and related journeys—so teams can deliver high-quality outcomes that meet customer needs and business goals. You will set standards, foster a culture of ownership and high agency, and ensure requirements, traceability, and delivery rigor are aligned to product vision and strategy.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2-4 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed

  • Customer-centric analysis - Translate research and insights into clear product requirements with a focus on usability, reliability, and simplicity. Facilitate structured elicitation, process modeling, and impact analysis across end-to-end journeys. Embed privacy, security, and conduct risk in requirements. Ensure audit readiness and compliance with Canadian banking regulations
  • Cross-functional leadership - Partner with product leaders to articulate vision, shape outcome-driven roadmaps, and make pragmatic trade-offs informed by data and risk considerations. Maintain rigorous requirements traceability from business objectives through delivery of measurable outcomes. Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Operations, Analytics, Legal, Compliance, and Risk to integrate requirements into delivery and operations, remove blockers, and accelerate launch-learn-iterate cycles.
  • Delivery excellence - Act as business activities and systems usage expert, both for business partners and internal teams. Champion agile methods and work within hybrid delivery models; drive backlog refinement, release readiness, UAT and PIV strategy execution, and change management. Embed experimentation, analytics, and funnel/journey insights into prioritization and requirements evolution. Optimize tooling and enable teams with AI and best practices for BA productivity and traceability. Navigate complex, multi-system environments, mapping processes and dependencies to de-risk change. Connect long term strategy with detailed execution and edge case handling.
  • Practice leadership and governance - Hire, coach, and develop BAs, build growth paths, manage performance, and optimize capacity across a blended team. Help to build and scale the BA practice. Continue to improve and establish intake and discovery processes, quality controls, and requirements governance for complex, regulated programs.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate experience in working in digital product environments across Business Analysis/Product Ownership, including 5+ years leading teams on complex programs, and elicitation, process modeling, user stories, acceptance criteria, and rigorous traceability from objectives to outcomes
  • You are a caring and accountable leader. You're passionate about developing and coaching to bring out the best in people. You have led diverse, high performing teams.
  • You act like an owner. You thrive when you're empowered to take initiative, go above and beyond, and deliver results.
  • You're an agile champion. Proven track record of leading agile teams and delivering complex programs in enterprise environments.
  • Values matter to you. You bring your real self to work and you live our values - trust, teamwork, and accountability.
