About the role
This is an opportunity for an experienced Shopify developer to create a premium, conversion-focused e-commerce website for a new DIY at-home lash extension brand. The project involves building a visually stunning and intuitive online store that reflects the brand’s high-end positioning and delivers an exceptional customer experience. The brand offers a curated range of lash products and starter kits, with a strong emphasis on design, education, and ease of use. Most branding assets, product photography, and copy are ready, and the Dawn Shopify theme is currently set up as a base. The ideal candidate will have a passion for beauty, fashion, or luxury e-commerce, and a portfolio that demonstrates creative, modern Shopify builds.
Deliverables
Develop a Shopify website using the Dawn theme or recommend/build a custom theme to enhance user experience and brand identity. Implement all required pages: homepage, shop, collections, product pages, starter kit pages, bundle options, learn/how-to, founder story, reviews/social proof, FAQs, contact, shipping/returns, and email sign-up. Integrate digital guides for customers (delivered via email and QR code). Ensure the site is mobile-optimized, fast-loading, and designed for high conversion. Collaborate on design refinements to achieve a premium, editorial look and feel. Set up product variants, bundles, and easy navigation for a seamless shopping experience. Integrate review/social proof features and email marketing sign-up. Provide post-launch support and recommendations for ongoing improvements.
Requirements
Proven experience developing Shopify stores for beauty, fashion, wellness, or luxury brands. Strong portfolio showcasing premium, creative, and conversion-focused Shopify sites. Expertise in Shopify theme customization, Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Ability to implement custom features and recommend best-in-class Shopify apps. Understanding of e-commerce UX/UI best practices and mobile-first design. Excellent communication skills and collaborative approach. Ability to work within a startup budget and deliver high-quality results on schedule. Availability for potential ongoing work as the brand grows. Based in Australia preferred, but open to remote candidates with relevant experience.
