About the role
WHO WE ARE
When it comes to health, we’re always looking for ways to push for better. It’s why we were founded in the first place. In 1957, our founder, pharmacist William Wilkinson, witnessed a mother sacrifice her health by forgoing her own medicine to pay for her sick daughter’s prescription. He knew there had to be a better way. So, he introduced North America’s first prepaid drug plan, and GreenShield was born as a not-for-profit with a mission to support better health for all Canadians.
We aren’t just a health and benefits company. We’re the only not-for-profit social enterprise that brings worlds of coverage and care together, all in one place.
We’re noble challengers, purposefully building a better way and we need the best people to help us create a more holistic approach that takes care of the mind and body.
Our mission is to create better health for all Canadians, and we know that starts with our employees.
THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
ABOUT GREENSHIELD VENTURES
GreenShield Ventures is the venture studio and innovation hub of GreenShield. GreenShield Ventures places Canadians at the heart of our innovation process in pursuit of GreenShield’s mission of Better Health for All Canadians.
GreenShield Ventures incubates and builds groundbreaking digital solutions in insurance, benefits administration, and healthcare delivery. At the helm of GreenShield Ventures is Luke Vigeant, the co-founder and former President of Inkblot Technologies – a mental health platform known for its personalized therapist matching tool acquired by GreenShield in 2021. Luke’s role expanded to oversee the development of a GreenShield’s integrated health and benefits ecosystem, GreenShield+. The team operates nimbly, leveraging a small, internal core team and augments capacity through product specific teams, consultants and contractors.
GreenShield Ventures is seeking a full-time Analyst to join our dynamic, fast-moving innovation team. Reporting directly to the Business Development Manager and working closely with the Product Manager, this role provides a unique opportunity to learn at the ground floor of venture building within Canada’s only not-for-profit payer-provider.
As Analyst, you’ll wear many hats—supporting market research, product strategy, and venture development—while contributing directly to the creation of healthtech and insuretech products that have real impact on Canadians’ lives. You’ll thrive here if you are curious, detail-oriented, and motivated by the opportunity to transform complex problems into actionable insights.
This is a hands-on, high-growth role where you’ll gain exposure to the full lifecycle of new product and venture creation—from idea backlog management and hypothesis development, to user discovery and external ecosystem building. You’ll be challenged daily, but you’ll also have unmatched opportunities to learn, grow, and make a meaningful contribution to our mission.
