HOURLY RATE: $23.27/hour FULL TIME HOURS
- 5 shifts per week
- 8-hour shifts
WHAT WILL I BE DOING? This purpose of this role is to assist with the day-to-day operational support of the Mountain Adventures attractions, while maintaining a high level of guest and employee experience.
- Works alongside staff in all areas of the operation, performs the duties of a Mountain Adventures Team Lead when required.
- Sets clear expectations for staff, motivates, coaches, & recognizes great performance. Including but not limited to onboarding new employees, training, rewards & recognition, and assists in developing performance reviews and corrective coaching.
- Provides staff with the tools that they require to complete the job and/or task expected of them.
- Operates POS and performs cash handling duties at applicable attractions.
- Ensures that daily expenses and labour schedules meet daily budget allocations.
- Ensures resources are available and in good working order and that training and communication are delivered to achieve a highly productive, efficient environment with minimal downtime that produces high quality product(s) and service(s).
- Participates in and deliver programming and training that unites employees around purpose and fun and therefore results in high employee engagement and high retention and return rates.
- Fosters a culture of teamwork between all employees to achieve the department's targets.
- Uphold the department standard related to the documentation of training required by government agencies pertaining to risk and safety.
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
- Previous experience working Attractions/Recreation an asset.
- Rescuer Certification required (in-house training provided).
- Understands basic management approaches such as work schedules and has somewhat advanced but limited process knowledge specific to their job area; requires no secondary education and 3 years of experience in related work.
