Are you driven by a desire to provide compassionate care during critical moments in patients' lives? As a Social Worker at Mount Sinai Hospital, you’ll be an integral part of our interdisciplinary team, offering psychosocial support that complements the medical care provided by our health care professionals. In this role, you’ll navigate a diverse range of cases, ensuring each patient and their family receive the guidance and resources they need. Your advocacy and resourcefulness will play a crucial role in connecting patients to community services and support systems, making a lasting impact on their recovery and overall well-being.
This role is focused on Inpatient psychiatry, where you’ll provide comprehensive psychosocial support to a diverse patient population, addressing the unique needs of individuals with overlapping medical and mental health challenges. Your expertise in crisis intervention and brief therapeutic interventions allows you to provide immediate, effective support while respecting professional boundaries and the limits of your role

This might involve addressing a patient's immediate needs during a crisis, such as helping a family find temporary support following an unexpected medical event. Your ability to think creatively ensures that patients receive the support they need in critical moments.
As an active member of your community, you will bring your lived experience to this role.
