Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) currently has an exciting opportunity to support our Service Retention team. This is a full-time opportunity and will report to the Manager of Parts Sales Planning and Analysis. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to utilize data to improve part sales, analyze market trends, and create overall business strategies based on data results. The successful candidate will have a direct impact on TCI’s parts and service activities and key business decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Inform business decisions and strategy by collecting, assessing, and interpreting After Sales data sets and providing data-driven solutions and insights
  • Develop custom data models, visualizations, and algorithms to interpret data, assessing the accuracy of new data and data-gathering strategies
  • Mining and evaluating data from internal and external databases to improve part sales, evaluate market trends, discover gaps for new product development or overall business strategies
  • Create predictive modeling to maximize parts sales growth and profitability, marketing campaigns, and customer experiences
  • Communicating and coordinating with teams to implement data-driven strategies while measuring progress
  • Support all business sections regarding needs for and access to customer-related data assets
  • Oversees TCI’s Units in Operation (UIO) data for reporting, forecasting, and analysis. Ensure data is reported accurately and timely and data is provided to vendors, departments, and zones as needed
  • Maintain Units in Operation (UIO) Dissemination Area maps and work with DSSO to ensure data is adjusted when there are dealer market area changes
  • Take care of IT Demands and requests related to After Sales data for Service Retention
  • Leverage existing TCI data assets and assist all functional business sections with customer-level After Sales Service Retention data
  • Conduct scientific analysis, advanced data research, and trend analysis to derive new insights resulting in actionable conclusions
  • Review Customer Repair Order data to find trends, opportunities, and patterns. Provide recommendations to appropriate departments based on findings
  • Create ad-hoc customer Repair Order studies based on requested criteria, providing data results and recommendations based on study results
  • Work in an unstructured environment where subject areas may be customer-centric, vehicle-centric, service-related, dealer-centric, financial, and any combination of the above
  • Seek trends in vehicle maintenance and repairs to help additional parts sales and service retention opportunities
  • Assist Service Retention team members by assisting and educating them on the use of data platforms

What You’ll Bring

  • 4 + years of experience in SQL, Python, Excel, and BI tools
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • 5+ years of experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
  • Formal education in economics, data science, technology, data analysis or related fields
  • Advanced data analysis/mining and trend analysis
  • Machine learning and data modelling experience would be an asset
  • Knowledge of Canadian data security and privacy regulations
  • Experience to concert data insights to narratives and presentations
  • A desire to learn new techniques and technologies
  • Flexibility to work as a member of the team and as an individual contributor
  • Experience within the automotive industry
  • Knowledge of Automotive components and terminology
  • Strong methodical, organizational and Project Management skills
  • Proven knowledge of how to initiate & improve work processes to increase efficiencies
