Description Position Overview The Property Management/Service Administrator plays a key role in supporting the operational success of the property management team, ensuring superior resident service, and maintaining the integrity of managed assets. This position combines administrative expertise, customer service excellence, and technical coordination to assist in the management of residential rental properties and, where applicable, new development units under builder warranty.
What You Will Do
- Maintain detailed and accurate property records, including lease agreements, tenant correspondence, and maintenance histories.
- Track rent collections, lease renewals, and tenancy expirations
- Assist with key acquisition, vacant unit inspections, payment inquiries, and other property related owner issues.
- Respond promptly and professionally to owner and tenant communications, ensuring clear documentation of all interactions.
- Receive and log maintenance requests through the property management system, assigning work orders to appropriate vendors or staff.
- Ensure that any chargeable items are tracked, communicated to the owner/tenant, and provided to accounting with property backup.
- Facilitate community communications such as newsletters, notices, or policy updates.
- Prepare management summaries, service reports, and property performance metrics as required.
- Other responsibilities as required.
Qualifications – Must Have’s
- Post-secondary education in Property Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred.
- 2–4 years of administrative experience in residential property management, real estate, or construction service environments.
- Knowledge of Alberta tenancy legislation and basic construction terminology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with property management software (Yardi, Condo Control) is an asset.
- Proven ability to maintain meticulous records.
- Service-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional resident experiences.
