The Role
We are seeking a Regular Full-Time, Junior Accountant (FTE 1.0). Reporting to the Controller, the Junior Accountant is responsible for the accurate and timely financial accounting and reporting for EFW Radiology and its joint venture companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assists in the accounting and preparation of monthly internal financial statements;
- Assists Accounts Payable Clerk in the timely preparation, coding and processing of
EFW’s invoices and internal expense reports; - Assists in Account Receivable invoicing and receipt of payments
- Assists in account reconciliations;
- Responsible for the reconciliation and entering of company credit cards;
- Monitors inbox by responding to inquires and/or redirects to appropriate team members;
- Manages and adheres to weekly and month end accounting schedules;
- Responsible for handling of bank deposits and mail collection & disbursement;
- Adheres to all privacy and confidentiality policies and procedures as they relate to EFW,
our patients and our employees; - Undertakes other related duties as assigned

You have the following
- Degree, diploma or certificate in business administration or accounting;
- 1+ years’ experience in an office setting an asset;
- Practical knowledge of accounting practices and relevant government legislation
- Experience with ACCPAC an asset;
- Intermediate level of Microsoft Word and Excel is required;
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills;
- Ability to adapt to changing company priorities and procedures;
- Ability to interpret data, identify discrepancies and propose adjustments where needed
- Ability to work well in a team environment;
- Ability to manage and meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines while working with minimal supervision.
- Solid computer skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
Working Conditions
- Works in an office environment, with prolonged sitting and computer keyboarding;
- This position works in an environment where hours of work are set based on operational needs;
- May be required to attend training or meetings outside of regular EFW business hours
