About the role

Position Summary

Reporting to the Associate Director of Development, the role oversees stewardship activities and lead donor recognition events and engagement efforts to drive donor acquisition, retention, and revenue growth, while ensuring an exceptional donor experience. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on managing details, building relationships, and is passionate about working in a non-profit organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all donor stewardship and recognition activities.
  • Lead donor recognition programs including donor wall opportunities.
  • Plan and execute all donor events, ensuring seamless coordination, track and analyze event metrics and donor feedback.
  • Responsible for donor reporting, including preparation of impact reports, development updates, and acknowledgment letters.
  • Manage Tribute Gifts program including the name recognition on Mural Wall.
  • Ensure donor records are current and accurate with all necessary and pertinent information, contacts, and actions are in the database timely.
  • Collaborate with fundraising, communications and marketing, and events teams to ensure the alignment of initiative objectives with donor engagement strategies and maintain donor benefit tracking in the database.
  • Maintain budgets related to stewardship; process invoices and ensure administrative processes align with organizational protocols.
  • Perform other duties and cross-functional assignments as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent in public relations, fundraising, marketing or event management.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in fundraising or transferable experience in comparable roles.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, particularly for donor/client communications; proficiency in English and Chinese languages.

  • Excellent project management and customer service skills.

  • Able to manage with a high level of ambiguity and independence.

  • Proficiency in the full suite of Microsoft Office products.

  • Experience with CRM database systems, with knowledge in Raiser’s Edge (NXT) considered an asset.

  • A strong passion for non-profit work or senior care.

  • A valid driver’s licence with access to vehicle.

Working Hours

  • 40 hours per week.
  • Evening and weekend hours required from time to time.
    • Overtime might be required.

Working Conditions

  • Travel might be required within the Greater Toronto Area.

  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.

  • May be exposed to contagious diseases.

  • Working with constant interruptions.
