Position: Freelance Audio Annotation Specialist
Type: Contract Compensation: $35/hour Commitment: 20 hours/week Role Responsibilities
- Annotate video content with a focus on audio analysis. Include speech segmentation, music identification, sound effects, and emotional tone.
- Apply rubric-based criteria to evaluate audio content accurately and consistently.
- Ensure annotations are grounded in what is audible or visible, chronologically precise, and free of speculation.
- Reject unusable samples according to project rules, such as non-English speech.
- Collaborate asynchronously with a research team to maintain and improve annotation quality standards.
Qualifications Must-Have
- Strong ability to analyze and describe audio content with precision.
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in audio annotation, transcription, media labeling, content moderation, or qualitative analysis.
- Ability to quickly process and assess diverse short-form video content.
- Comfort working within strict formatting and quality guidelines.
- Reliable internet access and a distraction-free work environment.
