About the role
School District No. 22 is currently hiring a meal coordinator. This position is 4 hours per week, 10 months. The anticipated schedule is Tuesdays 9:30 am - 1:30 pm. Variable inside school hours.
POSITION DUTES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sort lunches to division categories and ensure timely distribution to participants
- Ensure health regulations are followed
- Ensure unused portions are sorted and stored according to health regulations
- Ensure work place is maintained according to health regulations
- Student Supervision including explaining procedures to helpers/runners
- Photocopy and distribute monthly newsletter and program envelop to all students
- Receive all monies
- Ensure safe keeping of all signed envelopes and monies
- Create and maintain records and lists of all participants of program
- Communicate with students, staff and others
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Grade 10 Education
- Food Safe Certificate
- Previous Experience
WAGE: 25.45
SHIFT: Anticipated Tuesday 9:30 am - 1:30 pm with services not being required on In-Service and Non-Instructional Days.
This is a unionized position, CUPE Local 5523 and the hourly rate of pay is $25.45 plus a percentage in lieu of vacation and statutory holiday pay.
