About the role
Job Purpose
Enoch Cree Nation is building a Recovery Community, consisting of a $35 million dollar treatment facility and a comprehensive, end-to-end continuum of Indigenous addiction and mental health services rooted in culture, ceremony and spirituality. Enoch's Recovery Community Transitional (RCT) Housing program will be an extension of the Maskekosihk Recovery Community by joining the many skills and attributes of the Wellness Branch services. RCT is a fully furnished, safe and supportive housing program designed to bridge the gap between an Intensive recovery community setting and mainstream society for individuals over the age of 18, recovering from substance use disorder. Inclusive by nature, the program will encompass First Nation world view into case management perspective and day to day home rhythms, where participants will continue to heal while reintegrating into everyday life. The RCT Support Worker plays an integral role in this innovative continuum of services, supporting the implementation of it's strategic and operational plan. The RCT Support Worker provides a safe, supportive, and recovery-focused environment, supporting participants in their journey toward stability and recovery. This role emphasizes relationship-building, daily wellness activities, and collaboration with participants to help them achieve their goals.
Education, Experience And Requirements
Diploma in Addiction Counselling, Education, or related field (or equivalent experience). Proven ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment. Minimum of 3years of experience in recovery housing, addiction services, or transitional housing programs. Understanding of housing challenges, and the challenges faced by marginalized communities.
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle is required
Satisfactory Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check Training in Naloxone Administration/ Seizure Protocol Will have and maintain current First Aid and CPR certification
Working Conditions
Hours: Flexible shifts to accommodate a 24/7 operational schedule. May be required to work evening shifts and/or weekend shifts as needed Primary location: Enoch Cree Nation, with occasional travel to various sites. Physical fitness required (ability to walk, climb stairs, lift to 50 lbs, etc.). A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required. Must sign and adhere to the Enoch Cree Nation Confidentiality Agreement upon hire.
