About the role
Marshall Canada is seeking a Program Quality Lead to join our team in Ottawa, ON. Reporting to the QHSE Manager, this role is responsible to support program specific quality requirements to ensure compliance to the Customer, Regulatory and Quality Management System requirements. The Program Quality Lead works closely with the Supplier Quality Manager to develop a Supplier management & monitoring program based on a business risk assessment approach for Suppliers to the program.
Your responsibilities in the role:
- Ensure that quality program deliverables are maintained and submitted as required by contract.
- Develop and maintain quality documents applicable to the program requirement for internal and external deliverables including procedures, work instructions, plans, policies, etc.
- Represent the quality team at internal and external meetings related to the program.
- Serving as a liaison for the quality department between internal stakeholders (program, engineering,) and external such as the customer and suppliers,
- Work close with the Supplier Quality Manager to develop and maintain a supplier Audit schedule based on risk methodology to cover program requirements.
- Maintain program quality performance KPIs and provide feedback to management on any areas of concern.
- Provide input into supplier procurement specifications to ensure project and business requirements are flowed down as appropriate to suppliers.
- Ensure compliance to procedures, policies and work instructions
- Evaluate customer concerns, find root cause, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Review any contract amendments for impact on the Quality Assurance Plan.
- Compile and maintain the Product Quality Assurance Plan.
- Develop and maintain control plans.
- Conduct/participate in internal audits per the audit schedule (include product/process, capability, planning, part/component certifications, inspections)
- Represent Marshall Quality at Cost Commitment Reviews & Internal Gate reviews as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Lead Auditor trained in ISO9001/AS9100 is desirable, Internal Auditor trained in Quality standards is essential.
- Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems is essential.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft tools such as Word, Excel and Visio are essential.
- Knowledge and experience of Quality assessment and continuous improvement tools is essential.
- Understanding and experience of preventative techniques such as Sampling, Pareto, FMEA, SPC etc. is essential.
- Self-motivated and focused individual with the ability to engage with and lead a variety of suppliers to the journey of compliance.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills with demonstration of high-level stakeholder interaction.
- Pro-active and solutions driven, with the ability to work to strict deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
- Flexible approach to solutions and highly adaptable to change.
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
- This role will be supporting the business development on a global platform therefore ability to travel is essential.
Must be eligible to meet the requirements of export control regulations, including the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and Canadian government security requirements.
