Location - This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person. Work primarily takes place at North Campus, Edmonton.

The Campus Engagement Coordinator plays a key role in advancing the visibility, accessibility, and impact of International Education + Enrolment (IEE) programs and services across campus. This position leads campus engagement and awareness initiatives — including volunteer coordination, classroom presentations, and outreach activities — while serving as a primary point of contact for student inquiries and fostering strong relationships with diverse student communities. The role ensures accurate information management within enterprise systems, supports the effective translation of educational content to digital platforms, administers key unit processes such as education abroad scholarships, and collaborates closely with External Relations to inform strategic marketing and communications efforts.

International Education & Enrolment (IEE) supports the university community in the development and delivery of impactful international experiences and opportunities to foster global citizenship.

  • Information Management: Maintain accurate, culturally appropriate content across all digital platforms (FreshService, web, and social media) to ensure consistent advising information for students.
  • Content Strategy: Collaborate with External Relations to create and schedule engaging multimedia content that aligns with the student lifecycle and unit-specific programming goals.
  • Outreach & Engagement: Develop and execute strategies to promote programs, including managing events, supervising student volunteers, and monitoring engagement data to address participation gaps.
  • Data & Program Administration: Manage key performance reporting, scholarship application processes, and administrative tasks to support data-driven decision-making and unit operations.
  • Awards Administration: Manage the scholarship application process, clarify eligibility criteria, troubleshoot problems students might have with applications, convene scholarship adjudicators, and prepare materials for scholarship selection committees; develop ranking score cards to collect committee members' evaluations, record committee decisions, communicate outcomes to students, and prepare documentation required for disbursement of funds.
    • Prepares reports for external funding agencies.
    • Create new program application forms in Horizons (Education Abroad application/information management tool).

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s in Communications, PR, Scholarship management, or Student Affairs.
  • 2+ years of related work, including 1 year of direct experience.
  • Ability to work proactively and independently on program development.

Knowledge & Technology

  • Familiarity with student life, international education, and social media trends.
  • Proficiency in scholarship management.
  • Google Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, CMS, and PeopleSoft (Oracle).
  • Basic understanding of copyright and privacy (FOIPP) laws.

Key Skills

  • Exceptional writing, editing, public speaking, and intercultural diplomacy.
  • Strong organization and data analytics skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • English fluency required; additional languages are an asset.
